The Dutch national union’s LGBTI network, the Pink Network or Netwerk Roze in Dutch, is an excellent example of how a union’s LGBTI network can be integrated into trade union democratic structures and build outstanding international solidarity.
Commitment to equality in the workplace The Pink Network’s primary focus is improving LGBTI rights and equality in the workplace and the labour market, with the aim of fighting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. The ultimate goal is to create inclusive workplaces, free from discrimination and harassment against LGBTI people. The Pink Network advocates for greater LGBTI rights through the Rainbow Checklist for collective agreements.
