STUC 125 years

125th STUC Congress

The STUC is 125 years old and our annual Congress returns to Aberdeen. the event will take place in the Aberdeen Music Hall

This year's President is Pat Rafferty of Unite the Union.

Delegates from over 50 affiliated unions and trades union councils, as well as the STUC equalities committees, will meet over three days to debate and agree new policies. Congress takes place less than two weeks before the Scottsih Local Government elections.

Major issues for the Scottish Trade Union Movement include wages and the wider cost-of-living crisis, an economic strategy for a Just Transition to net zero and workers rights including Fair Work and the fight back against the actions of P&O ferries.

Congress will be addressed by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Scottsih Labour leader Anas Sarwar, as well as colleagies from sister Trade Union Centres.
